Kick-starting wellness regime - some practical insights from a friend

Dear Reader,

Many of us have difficulties starting a wellness routine. Despite knowing very well that taking care of health, eating healthy food, exercising etc. is essential for us, there are enough road-blocks in starting and sustaining a wellness regime.

I got this article, written by a friend – Narsimhan Santhanam on Linked In. It’s simple suggestion may inspire you and people around you to give an additional impetus to wellness.

This is about how every one of us can get great health by including small & simple activities in our lifestyle rather than exercise as a separate activity.

Here is the full article:

And this is the summary excerpt:

Be Active - Eat Good Stuff - Relax - Drink Water - Dance.

And add a key qualifier: All the above for short duration or in small quantities - a 5 minute walk, small portions of fruits or salad, 3 minute deep breathing/relaxation, small sips of water, and 3 minute "dancing"

All the above are indeed easily doable because they are stuff we do anyway; it is just that we need to consciously try doing a bit more of each.

And doing these in small bits, without having to stretch ourselves, makes them really easy. Essentially, long and large are never gonna happen, at least not for the ordinary us. Short and small can happen easily over and over again, whoever you are.

With lots of smiles,

Rohan
